Was the creative director for a beauty story inspired by Man Ray’s image titled Glass Tears. I set out to create an editorial that was more than meets the eye, hopefully, a series that makes you do a double take.
The bold graphic line work was meant to distract the viewer as the primary beauty story, but the real story is in the highlights and shadows. We lit the model with clean even light, then fabricated all the shadowing, creating extreme contour. This story heroes the artistry of make-up.
